Purple Ribbon Poultry is a Woman-Owned hatchery that began as a hobby and a love for certain breeds of chickens, then over time grew to include turkeys and ducks.
Unlike other hatcheries you have seen popping up all over the place, I do not offer hatching eggs or chicks. Up until a couple months old I am a firm believer that these babies deserve to have the best start in life they possibly can and that means not shipping them or expecting everyone to know just what their needs are at such a young age.
For this reason I made it a goal and mission to only sell the healthiest of birds when they reach the teenage stage at around 3-4 months old and fully feathered out. We also test our birds regularly for diseases and will vaccinate upon request before leaving the farm.
We also keep a record of every bird hatched on our farm, including the breeding line they came from so we know what they should or will lay and produce for your future flock. This includes producing birds from show lines and breeding to standard of perfection. We believe in Quality over Quantity and hope that you will agree when you receive your new feathered friends. Your happiness is what drives our passion, to continue working with our birds to perfect their genetics and earn their place as a worthy member of your flock or poultry show.
